## About Rift

Rift is the universal filesystem for agents. It keeps everything a person's agents produce in one encrypted filesystem, on all of that person's machines.

## The role

You will make Rift the default place agents keep their work. Rift is built for agents first, and you will measure whether they succeed.

## What you will do

- Design the interface agents use, and measure how often they use it correctly.
- Build the way one agent requests files from another.
- Test Rift inside the agents people already run, starting with the six on our home page, and fix what fails.
- Measure, across hundreds of agent runs, where files are lost or commands fail.

## You may be a good fit if you

- Have built tools that language models call.
- Have run agents at scale and seen where their work gets lost.
- Have designed a command-line tool or an API that other engineers chose to use.
