About Rift
Rift is the universal filesystem for agents. It keeps everything a person's agents produce in one encrypted filesystem, on all of that person's machines.
The role
You will own how Rift decides who can read what. Your work is the reason we can say that we cannot read a user's files.
What you will do
- Design key management for folders shared across many people and agents.
- Define what granting, approving and removing access guarantee, and test each guarantee against an attacker.
- Write the threat model and keep it current.
- Review every change that touches access or encryption.
You may be a good fit if you
- Have written the cryptography in a product people used.
- Have worked on secure messaging, access control or encrypted storage.
- Write designs that engineers outside cryptography can follow and challenge.
